The Embera Indians are native to the Darien jungles but have migrated to this area in recent years. They still keep and maintain their traditions, cultures, dances and religion. In the village, the Chief of the tribe and his assistant will explain to us their culture and traditions. The Indians are located on the Rio Gatun and you will embark upstream in a dug-out canoe. Later, you will be shown their community, their houses, their medicinal gardens, and their handicraft items. You will also have a chance to participate in their traditional dance & listen to the rhythms of their music, The Indian Village is in their natural state. Your visit to the Embera Community will help them economically to perserve their culture and the environment. A true adventure and an experience of a life time!!
